We're always on the look out for areas and links on places to ride. So, we're building a list of those that come our way. Feel free to add comments on any of the places you've ridden or send us more places/links!
- California - Dumont Dunes - Steepest dune faces in California. Favorite destination for drag racers and hill shooters. Dumont is surrounded by even more acres of open desert riding and camping opportunities. Directions: I-15 between LA and Las Vegas take hwy 127 out of Baker 30 minutes NW and look for the dunes on the right. Check out some of the riders stories!
- California (Southern) - GLAMIS - Reported to be the biggest sand box in America. DIRECTIONS: Between Los Angles and Phoenix on I-10, take Hwy 78 S 40 miles. Park in the washes east of the store or go west to get closer to the action of Comp Hill and Gecko Road.
- California - Pismo Sand Dunes - Dunes are small and direction with usually no question if dune has a drop-off on backside. Smaller ride areas but can't easily get lost in this 1500 square acre facility. Directions: Take CA hwy 101 between LA and San Fransisco to the town of Grover Beach. Take the Grand Avenue exit and head W to the beach.
- Canada, Quebec - Great ATV and snowmobile trails. Here's just one of many links available.
- Idaho - St. Anthony's Dunes - Some of the tallest dunes in the nation. The 11,000-acre dune area was featured in the movie "Napoleon Dynamite". Ride area is located N of Idaho Falls near the town of Rexberg in Eastern Idaho.
- Oregon Coast - Oregon has approx 5930 acres of open dune riding and approx 6140 more acres with marked trails. There are also many campgrounds some of which have direct riding access. Sand Fest is held on July 4th weekend.
- South Carolina - Carolina Adventure World - Referred to as the Disneyland of ATV parks with hundreds of miles of trails, mud pits, motocross tracks, country club style lodge all on the property. You can even rent ATVs here. Directions: Located 2 mi E of I-77 at Exit 46 on Camp Welfare Road in Fairfield County, South Carolina.
- Tennessee - Brimstone Recreation Park - Over 19,196 acres nestled in the remote wilds of NE Tennessee and in the heart of the Appalachia. Directions: From I-75 N of Knoxville, take exit 141 towards Oneida. Take 63 until you get into Huntsville. Brimstone Recreation's office is on L.
- Tennessee - Coal Creek OHV Area - 72,000 acres of off road fun located in Oliver Springs TN. The trails are open to everyone in just about any type of vehicle. The Windrock ATV Club manages/maintains the areas.
- Utah, Kanab - Grand Canyon, Zion and Coral Pink Dunes area. It's 3 hours north of Las Vegas and is reported to have some of the best scenery ever seen. This link offers more info on what the state of UTAH has to offer.
- West Virginia, Hatfield McCoy Trail - This trail system totals several hundred miles of trails traveling through five of its nine project counties. It's composed of six individual trail systems that can be accessed at different points throughout the state.
