Challenge - Sacrifice something small today for something bigger.


Welcome to day two of the #OolaYLChallenge! When it comes to managing health, a simple approach is eating fewer calories than you burn. Similarly, when it comes to finances, we want you to simply spend less money than you make. Debt is very un-Oola.

There are primarily three ways we use money: spending, giving, and saving. Most of us don't have a problem spending it, but when it comes to giving and saving, we have a harder time.

Today's #OolaYLChallenge is to sacrifice something small today for something bigger.

Sacrifice a small purchase and put that money toward paying off debt, giving, or saving. Whether it's the $5 you spend at your favorite coffee shop, the take-out meal you grab when you don’t feel like cooking, or the must-have snacks you pick up at the theater, take the money you usually spend (however small it may be) and put it toward something bigger. The sooner you take control of your finances, the closer you get to the life you dream of and deserve—your OolaLife.

Fitness: Embracing health not beauty


We are participating in the Oola 21 Day Challenge.

Today is ... Day 1!!!  Are you ready?  Well, its happening whether we're ready or not.  Just like life continues whether we are ready for it or not.  So ...

Today is about finding beauty and gratitude in the position you're in right now.  Fitness is about embracing health, not pursuing appearance.  (Oh how the world has done a great job of distorting that!)   Being grateful for the body you have is important.  Yes ... it can probably be improved.  Yes ... there is always something that could be worse.  Don't compare yourself to anyone but yourself.  That is guaranteed failure as you will always be the best person you can be and a second rate anybody else.  Everyone is created different with different purposes.

Stop right now and choose three things you love about your body.

Yes, this is not easy as we have been taught as we age (we didn't start out putting ourselves down as babies!) to find fault and destroy ourselves with our own stinking thinking.

I'm going to be real with myself and you in these next 21 days.  Three things I love and am grateful for in my body is  1)  I'm tall.  2)  My natural hair color.  3)  I'm able to feel and move with all my extremities and body.
