Carne Guisada Recipe

4-5 cups of cubed roast
roast drippings
3 cups of water
1 tsp. Watkins Sea Salt
1/2 tsp. Watkins Black Pepper
1 tsp. Watkins Cumin
2 garlic gloves or Watkins Garlic Granules or Watkins Liquid Garlic
3 Tblsp. corn starch or 6 Tblsp.flour(use additional 1 cup of cold water to dissolve starch)

This is a Delicious beef cubes simmered in a gravy. Serve as a main dish with rice and beans or as a taco in a corn or flour tortilla.

Cook a roast as usual till tender. That should take about 2 hours at 350 degrees. Let it cool till it is safe to handle. Cut into small cubes.

In a large pot add 3 cups of water, salt, pepper, cumin and finely chopped garlic. Next, dissolve the starch or flour in a cup of cold water. Pour into the pot of hot water mixture and whisk in. Finally, add the meat. Simmer. You should have a basic gravy with your meat.

Serve with rice and beans or serve in a tortilla.
