Tex-Mex Pizza

Ingredients
1 package Watkins White Deep-Dish Pizza Crust Mix or Watkins Wheat Pizza Crust
8 oz/227 g chorizo* or hot Italian sausage
1 cup/250 mL canned black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup/250 mL chopped green pepper
1/2 cup/125 mL sliced green onions
1 cup/250 mL canned diced tomatoes, drained
2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Mesquite Barbecue Sauce Concentrate
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Salsa Seasoning
1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Oregano
1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Cilantro
2 cups/500 mL shredded Monterey Jack or Mexican blend cheese
1/4 cup/60 mL sliced ripe olives

Cooking Directions
Prepare pizza crust dough according to package directions.

In small skillet, cook crumbled sausage over medium heat until no longer pink. Top crust with sausage, beans, green pepper and green onion. Combine the tomatoes, Barbecue Sauce Concentrate and seasonings; spoon over top. Sprinkle with cheese and ripe olives.

Bake at 400°F/250°C for 12 to 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.

Makes 8 servings.

*Chorizo is a spicy Mexican-style pork sausage common in the Southwest and sometimes available in Hispanic or specialty shops.
