A Slower Day Than Normal ... Praise God!

Today has been an amazing day packed full of so many God sightings and a slower pace than the past many! Thank you God!
We have been honored to have Luz (a young lady from Bogota, Colombia) staying in our home. She has moved in to our hearts (as He orchestrated) and thus our family. It was a sleepless night for Michelle as she prayed and prepared to put Luz on a plane to go back home to South America to, Lord willing, change her visa so she can participate in the Intro to IHOP Internship starting in September. It was such a blessing to get to come to the International House of Prayer Global Prayer Room with her at 6 AM to worship our Lord and Savior. God so speaks to us even when we aren't listening. He loves to give us insights that we get to follow up and dig deeper in to see what they mean. One of the insights that He gave Michelle this morning was that Luz has been with us for 51 days. Wow! Hard to believe. She came for a five (5) day visit and is temporarily leaving after 51 days. (Does the five (5) day thing sound familiar? God brought us here for five (5) days and 16 months later we are still here. Love it!) We have some studying and digging to do to gain the insight on the 51 day symbolism, feel free to share your interpretations. We love how God connects us with others to learn more. Technology is an amazing thing allowing us to stay in contact as she travels to her home country. We are praying for her appointment on Friday at the American Embassy there: That all those she encounters see God in her and He is able to minister to others through her; That she be granted the proper visa to be able to come back for the Intro course; That her family be touched in a new and deeper way than ever before through the changes He has done in her life. We know and trust that His Will will be done. Our family will be rocked if for some reason she is not allowed to come back. Its almost impossible to fathom. We are continuing to cover her in prayer as she is in the final flight stages of her arrival back in Bogota anxious to receive word that she arrived safe and sound. Thanks for joining with us in praying for her!
Once Michelle got back from the airport she and the boys tackled two large boxes of tomatoes. It was a first for the boys and a great team work, learning activity. They, amidst all the boxes and sacks from the moves, proceeded to make and can tomato sauce. It was a fun time as each had a specific task to complete that was very manageable but necessary to the end process. They have 11 quart-sized jars to show for their effort and to use in their creative cooking escapades. Definitely a God Insight moment! Our lives are so much like the canning process. God gives us each an easy task to complete. He doesn't overload or overwhelm us - we tend to do that well enough on our own. We get to choose if we do our best or just whatever to get it over with or even just drop the ball and not do it; whether we do it with joy & laughter or begrudgingly. What we put in to it is what it manifests in our lives. The boys were eager this morning and open to learn and help and co-teach each other their assignments once they mastered them (His Leaders in training!). Their attitude made the whole process be filled with laughter and joy. Now whenever we use one of those jars we will have those feelings and memories to renew His joy in us. AMAZING!
What's even crazier is that we have two young ladies Kristen Walton (whom we have met) and Caroline Moore (whom we are excited to meet) who have driven the past day and a half to come here to get ready to start IHOPU. We are going to be meeting them in the prayer room and taking them home with us to stay until they discern where He is wanting them to live. We've tried to prepare them for the state of our home & all the moving stuff but alas its hard to fathom until you see it in person. Good thing they are young and have a great sense of humor! Of course it helps that the room they are staying in is the only one that doesn't have boxes stuffed in it! We so love to see and meet those God brings to us! He's so creative in HOW He brings them in to our lives! We met Kristen at 2010 Onething Conference last December. She came to the conference with her friend, Besh Ngu, whom Michelle met the night they were both water baptized at Forerunner Christian Fellowship back in October 2010. They (Besh, Kristen & Amanda Borghese) were just going to crash at our apartment until they could get in to the hotel. Needless to say, they ended up just canceling their room and staying with us. It was another of His Divine Appointments. We love being flexible and opening our arms and home to those He chooses!
Now that the canning is cleaned up we find ourselves back at the Global Prayer Room for the Wednesday night Jr. High service and just some flat out amazing time worshiping Him. You can worship and pray anywhere, anytime, alone or corporately and will be rewarded fully for the efforts you take. Some times He wants you all alone and to Himself. Other times it is amazing to worship Him corporately and feed off of the Holy Spirit as it manifests from each other and grows in a way that just doesn't compute but totally explodes through! Tonight is, as it generally is, a moving night at the prayer room. I think the barometer rises when the younger generation enters in and their childlike faith just takes the meter to a new level! Bring it on Lord! More! More! More!
I know the Lord has directed us to journal our journey for us and others to learn from however right now the Spirit is moving here in the Global Prayer Room and ... I've just got to WORSHIP HIM!!
Blessings to you!!!
